Calculating your one-rep-max is one of the best things you could do for your strength.

But how to do it... there's several formulas out there.

The formula which forms the basis of this calculator is the Baechle equation. I've used it to estimate several maxes that I've performed in the past, and I must say, it's pretty spot on!

The actual formula is as follows:

One-Rep-Max = Weight * [(0.033333 * Number of Reps) + 1]

Just perform a set to failure at the gym, plug in your numbers above, and you'll find out your max!

NOTE: like any formula, this isn't perfect. So I'd recommend plugging in anything ranging from your 5-rep-max to 8-rep-max for the most accurate results.
